In response to patron and artist requests, festival producer Westport Downtown Merchants Association has chosen to move the Fine Arts Festival to late May for 2020. As a result of the extreme heat, and summers that are projected to get progressively warmer, the team, with the WDMA board and our festival director, decided to test a new date in late Spring, with the ambition of staying around this time frame permanently. This change also caters to the many local families who find themselves traveling in the summer months, allowing a new crowd of patrons to enjoy this beloved festival, now entering its 47th year.
Westport’s 47th Fine Arts Festival is a mid-summer highlight for collectors and residents from the Tri-State region, New England and beyond. Our nationally recognized, juried festival features a premier roster of 175 national and international fine artists exhibiting in a variety of categories - including painting, photography, sculpture, fiber, printmaking, mixed media, glass, ceramics, jewelry, wood, graphics and print making. All artwork is available for purchase in a wide variety of price ranges, subject matter and style - sure to inspire everyone.
This art festival is free to the public and also features a large interactive exhibit from the Artist Collective of Westport and a new independent exhibition of juried Emerging Artists work. Adding community interest is an arts based kids zone, on-site food vending and bars plus live music.
