Thank you for considering membership in the Westport Downtown Merchants Association (WDMA). Membership makes you a part of a dynamic organization helping to promote and vitalize downtown Westport, CT. The role of the WDMA is to support and promote the interests of our merchant members in gaining success as a business.

Many exciting happenings are sponsored by the WDMA. The annual Sidewalk Sale is an important sales opportunity for our merchant members and brings many shoppers into the downtown area. During the holiday season, the lighted trees along Main Street, the carolers, horse and buggy rides also attract many people to downtown. By far, our greatest event is the annual Fine Art Festival held on Main Street each year in July. Over 50,000 art lovers attend the festival.

As part of your membership benefits, your business name will be included in the list of members published in our comprehensive advertising campaign. Each year the WDMA places beautiful full color ads in local and regional publications.

The WDMA has created a “Downtown Plan” designed to beautify the downtown area while addressing solutions to our parking concerns. We also provide to members a refuse collection system which is both efficient and economical.
